1. How to find the data for percentages for each level? 

Click on "View Profile" to open the Communication Matrix results. Click on the gray box to the far left for each level, such as the gray box that says "Level 1 Pre-Intentional Behavior" and it will show the details and percentages for each box.

2. How do I determine at what level the student's current communication skills are?

3. How does it calculate the final percentage listed on the report?

The total score is available, if you choose to display it, whenever you do an assessment.  When you view the Profile for a completed assessment, there is a View Score link at the top left.  When you click on it, you will see the Total Score and Percentage Score.

Here is how the Total and Percentage scores are calculated.  There are 80 cells on the Matrix profile. Each cell represents a unique combination of Level and Message. Each cell may be scored according to its level of mastery. If no behaviors have been scored either Mastered or Emerging, a cell gets 0 points. If at least one behavior has been scored Emerging (and none have been scored Mastered), the cell gets 1 point. If at least one behavior has been scored Mastered, the cell gets 2 points. When cells on Levels 1 and 2 are scored Surpassed (because you have indicated that the individual functions beyond that level), those cells get a score of 2. Add up the points to get the total score, which may range from 0 to 160. The percentage comes from the percent of the total score out of 160: so if you got a total of 29 points, that would be 29/160 or 18%.
